NORTH POINT MIXED-USE
Located at the intersection of habitation and commerce within the NorthPoint development in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the mixed-use design for Parcel L by Ehrlich Architects offers a new model for the integration of working and living. Parcel L occupies a prestigious position within the new 40 acre development, and the building required a landmark design that would satisfy the unique model for this new community.

Through careful analysis, Ehrlich Architects developed dynamic forms for the structure that respond to site, context and program and introduce a variety of commercial and residential arrangements. In support, an innovative yet honest palette of materials distinguishes between the various components. The building was designed for a target Silver LEED certification and utilizes a high-performance building envelope, particularly in the commercial zone. After an invited competition phase Ehrlich Architects was awarded the full design development of the Parcel L site and is currently awaiting project start-up.
